In order for our system to block Internet Explorer and other browsers, the Parent/Administrator must configure the Internet Protection Module.  Please follow the instructions below to complete the configuration.

What is the Internet Protection Module?
Our Internet Protection Module (IPM), when enabled, prohibits users from accessing the Internet through any means other than our Browser. It can also be configured to prevent users from accessing Instant Messenger programs, Windows functions and utilities that would allow someone to disable or uninstall the Browser and IPM.

It also prevents your kids from accessing the Internet through programs with built-in browsing capabilities such as, Microsoft Word and Excel. Internet Protection Module will still permit your children to use these programs, but it prevents your kids from using them to browse the Internet.

Our IPM can be enabled for any Windows user account defined on you computer. When enabled, any time a user attempts to access any application that has been banned for their Windows user account, the user is prompted that the IPM is Enabled, and that it has closed the banned application.

Configuring the Internet Protection Module

You can configure ALL Windows User accounts at one time, regardless of the Windows user you are logged in with. To Enable and Configure the IPM:
1. Select the Windows Start button, select All Programs and then select the Program Group for the browser you just installed.
2. Select the 'Configure Internet Protection Module' option from the menu.
3. Next, enter your Parent username and password to access the IPM configuration utility.
4. Select the Windows User account from the list, and then select the 'Enable Internet Protection Module' button.
5. Select the 'Modify Banned Applications Settings' button to set which pre-defined applications are banned for the selected user, and save your changes.
Then each time the computer starts, the IPM will be enabled and will ban the selected applications for Only those Windows user accounts that are configured to use the IPM.

NOTE: After enabling the IPM for the Windows User that you are logged in with, make sure that you select the Save button from the Modify Banned Applications Settings window.
