Error: (12029) A connection with the Server could Not Be Established

If you get this error meesage- Error: (12029) A connection with the Server could Not Be Established [Please make sure your are connected to the internet and launch the application again] BUT you are connected to the Internet please review the following.

This error is usually casued by Norton Internet Security or another firewall program that is blocking our Kid Safe Browser from launching.

If you have Norton Internet Security please try the following:

Launch your Norton Internet Security, on the left hand bar click on Norton Internet Security then in the middle of the page click on Personal Firewall then on the bottom right click on Configure.

When the configure box opens click on the Programs tab on the top nav bar. Then look under the Manual Program Control and see if you see our "little Sun" icon or a program titled browser.exe, CEN Browser or Internet Protection Module. Make sure these two programs have the permission of Permit All.  If you need to change this click on the settings and change to permit all.

If you do not find these under this section please click on Add and then navigate to C:/Childrens Educational Network and then click on the 1st folder in this folder and you should now see browser.exe that you can add.
