The Parent Browser is the same as the kids Browser without the security features of the kids browser.  It works much like Internet Explorer and allows the Parents/Guardians to surf the Internet by either entering a web address (url) in the address bar or using the Search button.  Version 9.1 also gives the parents the ability to change the theme of the browser, as well as selecting a different login icon, if desired.  The parent account also allows the parent access to the applications that are banned by our CEN Internet Protection Module (IPM).

When you start the browser, you will be presented with our Login screen.  You will see a login icon for the registered parent, as well as one for each child account that you have created.  Select the Parent login icon, then enter your Parent Password when prompted.  For security reasons, the parent will always be required to enter their password.  Each child account can also be configured to require the user password to start the browser.  These settings can be configured from our Parent Administration Center at www.childrenseducationalnetwork.com/home/parentlogin.asp (parent username and password required to access). 

The default security setting for the Parent browser has only our "Porn" filter enabled.  You can modify the parent account security settings as desired.  See the "Security Settings" section in our Parent Administration Center to obtain more information on the specific security settings, and to modify the settings as needed.  Individual user accounts settings are accessed through the "Child Accounts" section, child selection list.
